After my first two experiences guest hosting for Mastermind.FM alongside Donnacha Mac Gloinn, this time around I took on the opportunity to guest host alone and interview a gentleman named Ben Pines.
Ben is the mind behind the Elementor WordPress page builder plugin that has grown to have over 200,000 active installs in just one year. If you don’t know what that means, let me put it this way: their team have managed to infiltrate a sector that already had a few major players that were dominating, such as the likes of Beaver Builder, Divi and Visual Composer, and to start taking market-share in just 12 months.
It was interesting, and a bit scary, to take on my first episode alone, but it was definitely fun and a great learning experience. Ben made it easier with his ability to talk clearly and with much interest about his business, and it was also engaging for me to listen to how they made it all work, from beginning to end. This was especially useful as we’re currently going through this process in the WordPress bookings plugin space with EDD Bookings (stay tuned for a new website coming very soon).
Speaking of which, this interest from my end was two-fold as I also used Elementor to build the new website for EDD Bookings. I have to say it’s an absolute pleasure to use, and with the new features planned for the coming months I’m sure it’s ready to take on the big boys in no time.
